Stanford Cardiovascular Genomics and Proteomics Tissue Bank

The Stanford Genomics and Proteomics  study is a DNA and tissue bank funded via  a generous gift from the Breetwor foundation. Through this gift and the generosity of our patients in participating, we have established a repository of DNA and plasma on over 1000 patients from the Stanford Cardiomyopathy Service. This includes a large number of heart failure patients, and an enlarging group from families with inherited cardiomyopathy or arrhythmia syndromes. Samples are barcoded and linked to anonymous patient data in our database. Family pedigrees are all linked through a Progeny database. The tissue bank also includes samples from explanted hearts and biopsies.
